This is an exceptional opportunity for a Junior SQL Developer (0-2 yrs' experience) to join a global wealth-tech and investment management firm developing the core data systems that power real-world trading and investment platforms.
This Junior SQL Developer role is fully remote (South Africa-based only) and offers a salary of R500K-R650K.

THE ROLE:
As a Junior SQL Developer, you'll work with experienced engineers to design, develop, and optimise the databases that power live financial trading and investment platforms. You'll gain real-world experience building, optimising, and scaling data systems that process critical financial information across global markets.
From day one, you'll be hands-on with SQL, writing queries, stored procedures, and functions while learning how to model data, automate processes, and improve performance within complex, high-volume environments. You'll also gain exposure to cloud-based systems, analytics, and AI-assisted data tools, learning how modern FinTech teams use data to drive global investment operations.

THE REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or a related technical/numerical field.
Exposure to SQL, whether through university projects, coursework, or personal learning (queries, joins, stored procedures, or functions).
A basic understanding or interest in data modelling, ETL processes, or database design principles.
Curiosity about how cloud-based systems and automation shape modern data environments.
