Junior SQL DBA (CPT Hybrid) IT - Support
Cape Town - Western Cape - South Africa
ENVIRONMENT:
A strong solutions-driven Junior SQL DBA is wanted to join the team of a growing provider of cutting-edge Custom Cloud Solutions. You will manage and maintain SQL databases across all MSP clients, aid with database performance tuning while performing regular backups, ensure that backups are being run successfully and that recovery plans are in place for all customers. The ideal candidate must have a suitable qualification relating to SQL and other database solutions with at least 5 years relevant work experience with a solid understanding of SQL and its infrastructure needs.
DUTIES:
- Manage and maintain SQL databases across all MSP clients.
- Ensure data integrity and security across all MSP clients.
- Perform regular backups, ensure that backups are being run successfully and that recovery plans are in place for all customers.
- Assist with database performance tuning across all MSP clients.
- Manage outsourced client SQL environments.
- Relevant qualifications relating to SQL and other database solutions.
- 5 Years' experience on the above at a minimum.
- Possess a strong understanding of SQL and its infrastructure needs.
- Experience with database management and scripting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Preferably located in CPT Northern Suburbs as this is where the South African offices are located.
