We're a new, upbeat sensory and developmental hub built on one big idea: when children feel safe, seen and excited to learn, they thrive. We are a residential, day schooling, and respite care facility. We're assembling a small, excellent team that blends excellence, competence, enthusiasm and passion, every day.
The Role (what you'll do):
Teach & support a small caseload of learners (4-12) using evidence-based approaches (e.g., structured visual supports, STAR, TEACCH/SCERTS/PECS, and behaviour-support strategies).
Develop and refine curriculum aligned with international best practice for autistic learners, with clear goals, scaffolding and sensory-smart activities.
Plan and track learning: create individual support/education plans, set weekly goals, and keep structured records of progress and behaviour data.
Coordinate therapy inputs: timetable and coordinate sessions with therapists (e.g., speech, OT, behaviour/ABA), share targets, and integrate therapy goals into classroom activities.
Partner with families: brief weekly check-ins; provide practical strategies for home.
Admin & reporting: weekly progress notes, a concise monthly report per learner, attendance/incident logs, and resource inventories.
Safeguarding & wellbeing: uphold child-protection procedures and create predictable, sensory-considerate classroom routines.
Team culture: contribute ideas, reflect on practice, and help us build a high-energy, high-care hub from the ground up.
