Job Description

Our client, in the financial services industry, is expanding their software development team and is currently recruiting a Junior Software Tester to join the team in the Pretoria office.
This position is suited for someone with less experience who is eager to grow in the field. The role involves supporting manual testing efforts while also contributing to the development and maintenance of automated testing.
Qualifications and experience

• Relevant BSc IT or BCom IT or similar will be beneficial
• ISTQB Agile foundation and ISTQB Advanced certification
• 3+ years of experience in software testing

Responsibilities / Skills

• Execute manual test cases and report bugs clearly and accurately.
• Assist in writing and maintaining automated test scripts under guidance.
• Collaborate with developers to understand features and ensure proper test coverage.
• Participate in test planning and review sessions.
• Help maintain test environments and data.
• Document test results and contribute to test reports.
• Learn and apply best practices in software testing and automation.
• Support regression testing during release cycles.
• Continuously improve skills in test automation tools and scripting.

Experience

• Agile development and delivery.
• Experience using Azure DevOps or similar tools and implementations of CI/CD delivery pipelines.
• Experience with software test automation tools and frameworks.
• Any SQL language experience and skills will be a great benefit.
• Experience working in the financial services sector will be beneficial.
• Basic understanding or experience using C# or similar language will be beneficial.
