Job Description

Junior Security Specialist required for our client. Under the supervision of the Information Security Operations Assistant Manager, this key position is responsible for the implementation of information security policies, the deployment of information security measures and the monitoring and analysis of information security-related logs, inclusive of the achievement of the set KPI and scorecard.

Requirements -

Grade 12

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and other related courses At least 1 year of relevant and related experience in Information Security or Cybersecurity, preferably in BPO setting Certification/training related to Information Security and/or Cybersecurity is an advantage Records, investigates and contributes to the resolution of any IT-related information security issues, incidents, and weaknesses. Conducts vulnerability assessment and penetration testing on corporate network, newly procured systems, and computer assets in compliance with information security policies on regular intervals and upon request; provides evaluation for adequate information security controls. Performs information security audit for existing and deployment-pending servers and network devices. Approves and registers personal removable storage or mobile devices; implements encryption-at-rest controls for removable storage devices. Regularly performs access control reviews for firewall, email accounts, VPN accounts, WiFi access. Conducts analysis of potentially malicious emails. Provides assessment on requested access to the internal network by 3rd-party groups. Monitors internal IT-related information security control systems to ensure that appropriate information access levels and security clearances are maintained. Monitors and updates the security information and event management systems (SIEM) and the intrusion detection systems (IDS). Assists the Application Security Officer in conducting vulnerability assessment on systems produced by the software development teams.
