Base Salary + BenefitsJOB DESCRIPTIONThis is a very hands-on, high visibility role and will require intensive commitment.
Incumbent will be required to be involve in a wide variety of tasks which will vary from routine capturing and daily PNL reporting to FX hedging and accounting.Essential Requirements for consideration:

• Relevant Bachelor's degree or studying towards degree with 1 year's work experience in a SAFEX environment (Agri Commodity Trading)

Education and Experience

• Preference will be given to individuals with exposure to the grain industry
• Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles

Main Responsibilities

• Daily Pnl
• Compile daily trade Pnl.
• Review position and market price to ensure accuracy of Pnl.
• Prepare supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule.
• Prepare Commercial Reports
• Ensure accurate recording and analysis of transactions.
• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations between the PNL and general ledger.
• Brokers
• Entering of daily SAFEX trades into front office trading system
• Review, Analise & Reconcile Brokers Accounts
• Posting of Monthly Journals
• Prepare supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule.
• Prepare Commercial Reports
• FX
• Involvement in calculating FX position, Pnl and exposure.
• Send instructions to FX desk to book trades.
• Reconcile trades between central FX system and front office trading system.
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Payment review and approval
• Data validation and integrity
• Preparation for internal and external audits
• Execute usual accounting functions, which include operating the general ledger system and month-end close responsibilities.
• Ad hoc duties as required
