Junior Production Technician IT - Support
Somerset West - Western Cape - South Africa
ENVIRONMENT:
An innovative Automation Company is seeking a highly motivated, passionate, and skilled Technician to join its dynamic Production team. The successful candidate will contribute to a range of specialized processes within various aspects of aerospace production. Applicants should hold a B-Tech Degree or Advanced Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. A solid understanding of electronic components, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and soldering techniques is essential.
DUTIES:
The Employee will work as a Junior Production Technician; scope of work will include (but is not limited to) the following:

• Assembly, testing, design, development, implementation and verification of systems, subsystems,
• testers and associated software, hardware and algorithms associated with the Employers products
• and services
• Contributing towards the outputs for specific projects, including all design, documentation and
• verification artefacts
• Taking responsibility for the proper implementation and proper functionality of the Employers prototyping and assembly facilities, including tooling, spares, stock and infrastructure.
• Maintain company processes and systems in line with ISO 9001, AS 9100 and other quality, production and development standards
• Managing stores and stock alignment with AS9100 standards, ensuring all materials and components are organized, safely stored, and properly accounted for
• Conducting incoming inspections of components to verify quality, quantity, authenticity and ensuring each part is precisely documented within the ERP system
• Collaborating with the Quality Manager to perform formal quality inspections on electronic and mechanical components, ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards and product specifications
• Play a role in the generation of outputs for projects, including design, testing, documentation, production and verification artefacts
• Implementation of Company System engineering processes, plans and policies as applicable to a specific project
• Perform minor support roles within the company, as required.

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications:

• B-Tech Degree / Advanced Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Familiarity with Electronic components, PCBs, and Soldering.
• Relevant industry Recommended Skills and Experience:
• Electronic production
• Electromechanical integration
• Electronic testing
• Integration testing
• Product qualification and stress testing
• Production and procurement experience will be advantageous.
