As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Production Manager to join their team.
Job Summary:
As a Junior Production Manager, the candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating and overseeing the manufacturing processes. You will work closely with the Production Manager and Production Team, ensuring that all operations run smoothly, efficiently, and meet our quality standards. This role requires a strong aptitude for problem-solving, effective communication skills, and the ability to work under high pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in planning and organising production schedules, considering factors such as customer demand, equipment capacity, and resource availability.
2. Work closely with the Production Manager to develop and implement strategies to optimise production processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
3. Monitor production lines, ensuring that they are operating efficiently, and promptly address any issues or delays that arise.
4. Coordinate and communicate with various departments, including procurement, quality control, maintenance, and logistics to ensure smooth production flow.
5. Provide guidance and support to production staff, ensuring they have the necessary resources, tools, and training to perform their tasks effectively.
6. Monitor product quality throughout the production process and take corrective actions to address any deviations from the established standards.
7. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of safety procedures and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
8. Analyse production data, generate reports, and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
9. Wok closely with the inventory department to ensure adequate stock levels of raw materials and finished goods.
10. Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in manufacturing to contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
2. Minimum 5-years' experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
3. Experience working with Heat Treatment will be beneficial.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
5. Excellent organisational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
6. Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate production updates and challenges.
7. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
8. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
9. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
10. Demonstrated leadership potential and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Remuneration Package:

• R30 000 xe2x80x93 R35 000 CTC Monthly
