Junior Process Engineer | Johannesburg | Market related salary
Our client, a respected engineering consultancy based in Johannesburg, is on the hunt for an experienced Junior Process Engineer to join their world-class team. With an impressive track record of delivering process solutions across breweries, beverage plants, food production facilities, and mining operations, this is a unique opportunity to work on complex, high-impact projects across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
This role calls for a dynamic individual who can work towards being able to seamlessly manage process design, execution, and project leadership. You'll take ownership of end-to-end delivery, including system design, budgets, client liaison, and the co-ordination of multi-disciplinary teams. A focus on utility systems-steam, COxe2x82x82, refrigeration, water treatment, compressed air, and effluent-is essential.xf0x9fx8cx9f What Youll Be Responsible For and work towards doing:

• Delivering high-quality, innovative process engineering and consulting solutions
• Preparing accurate designs, PFDs, P&IDs, process documentation, and FDSs
• Managing project budgets, performing financial control, and overseeing construction monitoring
• Leading projects from inception to completion, with minimal input from senior leadership
• Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary engineering team, both locally and internationally
• Representing the business at client and networking events, and maintaining strong client relationships
• Ensuring efficient internal project financial management, including invoicing and forecasting
• Attending and contributing to HAZOP reviews, commissioning and verification activities
• Supporting Autodesk BIM workflows, including Revit and Navisworks (knowledge required)
• Participating in business development by ensuring repeat work and satisfied clients

xe2x9cx85 What We're Looking For:

• BSc Eng. or BTech in Process, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
• 5 years experience in consulting engineering (FMCG/mining preferred)
• Registered or eligible for Pr Eng/Pr Tech status (advantageous)
• Proven ability to manage utilities packages and full process lifecycle
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (including technical reports)
• High proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM tools, and Microsoft Office
• Independent, proactive, and solutions-driven with a strong attention to detail
• Strong grasp of latest industry technologies and engineering innovations
• Comfortable leading projects and engaging with clients at a senior level
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport
• Willingness and availability to travel within South Africa and into Africa
