Job Description


An accounting firm in George is seeking to appoint a Junior Payroll Administrator to support its growing client base.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and is looking to develop further in payroll administration.
Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • A tertiary qualification in Payroll, HR, or Finance is beneficial
  • Previous experience in a payroll administration role (minimum 1 year)
  • Reliable transport
  • Working knowledge of payroll systems
  • Basic understanding of payroll legislation and statutory requirements (PAYE, UIF, SDL, etc.)
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
Key Responsibilities:
  • Capturing and processing employee information and timesheets
  • Monthly payroll processing for multiple clients
  • Submitting EMP201, UIF, and other statutory returns
  • Issuing payslips and reconciling payroll reports
  • Managing leave, overtime, and salary adjustments
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant labour and tax legislation
  • Handling payroll-related queries from clients and staff
  • Assisting with general administrative tasks within the department
