With operations in over 100 countries, the company provides certification, auditing, and consulting services to ensure compliance with organic standards and environmental responsibility. The South African office plays a key role in supporting local producers and exporters in meeting international requirements for organic products.
About the Role:
The Organic Export Officer will be based at the Somerset West office and report directly to the Export Manager. This position is critical in ensuring traceability and documentary compliance for organic consignments, particularly for exports to the EU and USA.
Key Responsibilities:

• Verify completeness and eligibility of Transaction Certificate (TC) and Certificate of Inspection (COI) applications received from clients.
• Cross-check documents to validate traceability and accuracy.
• Assess compliance with EU and NOP (USA) organic scheme requirements.
• Issue and send approved TC/COI to clients within strict deadlines (3 days).
• Update internal records across all platforms.
• Work proactively with other departments to ensure clients and internal staff understand processes through guidelines and training.

Requirements:

• Tertiary degree or diploma in Logistics, Education, or a relevant field.
• Previous experience in exports or certification is advantageous but not essential.
• High level of computer literacy (MS Office proficiency).
• Excellent English and Afrikaans communication skills (spoken and written).
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills.
