Junior Mechanical Engineer

Minimum Requirements

Qualification:

BSc or BTech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience:

1-2 years post-graduate experience or internship (preferably in mechanical, plant, lifting, or rigging environments).

Software:

Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar mechanical design tools.

License:

Valid driver's license and own reliable transport.

Advantageous:

Understanding of rigging, hydraulics, mechanical assemblies, or load testing procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design, development, and modification of mechanical systems related to lifting and rigging equipment. Prepare technical drawings, layouts, and mechanical schematics. Support workshop and field operations with inspections, diagnostics, and fault finding. Assist with maintenance planning, safety documentation, and equipment testing. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and safety teams to support project delivery. Perform mechanical calculations and risk assessments. Maintain detailed engineering documentation and job records. Support quality control and compliance with industry standards and internal procedures.
