Job Description
Purpose of the role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Agent to join our logistics team. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals eager to build a career in freight forwarding, supply
chain, and logistics. The successful candidate will assist in coordinating shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, and supporting smooth operations across the logistics chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with coordinating local and international shipments (imports and exports).
- Prepare and verify shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, etc.).
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate with transporters, warehouses, and customs agents to resolve delays.
- Update internal systems and maintain accurate shipment records.
- Provide administrative support to the logistics team as needed.
- Support in resolving client queries related to shipment status.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- South African unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
- Must not have previously participated in the YES Programme.
- Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field (advantageous).
- No prior experience required training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office, data entry).
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the logistics industry.
