Monday - Thursday: 08h00 - 16h00
Friday: 08h00 - 13h00
Job Overview
Our client is seeking a professional and reliable Legal Secretary to provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support within a home-based legal practice. The successful candidate will manage general office administration, assist with the preparation of agreements using templates, and attend to occasional court and Master's Office filings.
Key Responsibilities
General legal secretarial and administrative duties
Managing correspondence and client communication
Drafting and compiling agreements using existing templates
Filing documents at court and the Master's Office and obtaining dates when required
Maintaining organized filing systems (physical and electronic)
Reception duties and professional client interaction
Minimum Requirements
Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar administrative role
Fully bilingual: Fluent in English and Afrikaans (English proficiency is essential)
Strong administrative and organizational skills
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Professional, neat, and presentable at all times
Reliable and able to work independently
Additional Information
The office is based at a private residence; however, the successful candidate will operate from a dedicated reception office on the premises. The practice involves limited litigation.
