Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Legal Secretary for a permanent role based in Parktown North, Gauteng
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 with 3+ years legal secretarial experience
- Valid drivers and good computer literacy
- Good communication skills
- Assisting with billing and general administration
- Maintaining and updating office files (printing and filing documents)
- Managing attorneys' diaries, court dates, and consultations
- Following up with Sheriff and correspondent attorneys
- Attending to debt collection matters on behalf of various commercial client including Municipalities (Opening and managing debt collection files)
- Issuing letters of demand and section 129 notices
- Drafting and issuing debt collection summonses, default judgments and warrants/writs of execution
- Following up on payments of legal fees from clients
