We are looking for a motivated and eager-to-learn Junior IT Support Technician to join our IT team.
This role is ideal for someone with around a year of IT support experience who wants to grow their skills.
The successful candidate will provide frontline technical support to internal users and clients, helping to resolve common IT issues with hardware, software, and basic networking.
Most support will be provided remotely, with occasional on-site assistance when needed.
Salary: R10 000 - R13 000 ctc per month.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1st line support by responding to IT queries related to desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Assist with installing and troubleshooting
Windows 10/11
operating systems, user profiles, and shared drives.
Support users with
Microsoft 365 applications
(Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
Help with user account setup and password resets in
Active Directory
.
Assist with mobile device and endpoint support (basic troubleshooting and setup).
Log, update, and close helpdesk tickets, ensuring issues are recorded clearly.
Escalate more complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
Provide clear and professional communication with users while resolving issues.
Support basic IT security practices (e.g., identifying phishing attempts, keeping systems updated).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Around 1 year of IT support experience (internship, service desk, or junior role).
Basic knowledge of Windows environments (Windows 10/11).
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (especially Outlook, Teams, and Office apps).
Understanding of basic networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP) is beneficial.
Exposure to Active Directory (user management) is a plus.
Experience with remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, Remote Desktop) is advantageous.
CompTIA A+ or similar certification (or currently working toward one) would be an advantage.
Valid driver's license and reliable transport preferred.
