Junior Graphic Designer
Job Overview:
Our client a Leader in the Advertising Industry as a vacancy for a Junior Graphic Designer at their Offices in Paarl. The Junior Graphic Designer works independently and collaborate effectively with our design team. We value creativity, commitment, positivity, and teamwork in our designers.
Responsibilities:

• Assist senior designers in creating graphic materials for digital and print publications, social media, branding and advertising.
• Design basic graphic elements such as publication layouts, typography, illustrations, print and social media graphics.
• Prepare files for print and digital production, adhering to publishing standards.
• Learn and use industry-standard graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Ensure consistency of designs across multiple platforms while adhering to brand guidelines.
• Seek feedback and ensure recommendations is implemented to improve proficiency and efficiency.
• Stay up to date with the latest design trends and industry tools.
• Provide monthly reports on digital publishing platform analytics

Requirements:

• Qualifications & Experience: A National Diploma/Degree in Graphic Design

• 1-3 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in the publishing industry.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design skills, especially in book cover design and layout.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge of publishing software (e.g., Adobe CC Indesign).
• Familiarity with current digital design trends and best practices for web, mobile, and social media platforms.
• Excellent attention to detail and understanding of typography and layout principles.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with advertisers and understanding of brand identity.
• Knowledge of web design (HTML, CSS) or motion graphics.
• Experience in video editing or animation.
