Are you a dynamic, energetic and passionate individual?We are looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to be based at our Head Office in Durban!!!Key Performance Area: * Graphic Design Work (Day to Day Operations)

  • Creation (conception and execution) of print media formats including but not limited to:
  • Catalogues
  • Flyers
  • In-store Communication: Posters, price points, decals, wobblers, cards (e-commerce | gift cards)
  • Store signage: Relocation | under construction posters, general policy information
  • Ad hock material for internal use: Certificates, logo design, internal collateral (notebooks | bags | lanyards etc.)
  • Creation (conception and execution) of digital media formats including but not limited to:
  • Website (Including the building of Shop in Shops and category landing pages) and social media banners, including deep linking of all catalogues/flyers
  • Social media content (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube & Tik-Tok) Including marketing material for new store openings and competitions
  • Building of weekly mailers and pop ups
  • Template creation and updating of internal artwork files
  • In-store Signage & Branding
  • Liaising with operations team & suppliers for roll out of store revamps and new store openings
  • Text frames, overstock cupboards, valences, shelf strips, posters, store front and store exit
  • Ensure brand CI is executed with consistency and innovation
  • Time & Task Management
  • Ensuring all briefed tasks are dealt in a time efficient manner whilst upholding brand CI and consistency
  • Managing expectations when accepting briefs, setting deadlines & prioritising tasks
  • Communication
  • Liaising and maintaining a positive relationship with category managers to ensure branding needs are being met for their categories and brands
  • Liaising with agencies & suppliers regarding artwork direction and implementation of design from start to finish of campaign
Self-development: * Streamline instore experience by ensuring all store signage is consistent, innovative and on brand.
  • Enquiring about a copywrite course to further boost my creativity and career potential.
Key Skills Needed: * Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator | Photoshop | InDesign)
  • Experience in DTP Operations
  • Knowledge of repro requirements to supply print-ready artwork (essential), as well as digital ready artwork for online purposes
  • Strong writing and editing skills, and strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with marketing & sales teams
  • Creative vision and ability to communicate brand message whilst being in line with trends
  • Interest in graphics and typography is ideal
Personality Traits: * Accurate worker with fine attention to detail
  • Proactive attitude and willing to apply skills to various requirements of the company
  • Able to follow briefs specifically without deviation
  • Comfortable working alone and in a team
  • Organised and deadline-driven
