to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial controls, statutory compliance, and management reporting across group entities.
Key Responsibilities
Review and approve submitted documentation in support of purchase order requests.
Generate and finalise intercompany invoices and monthly recharge ledgers.
Prepare audit packs and annual financial statements using Caseware.
Prepare and submit VAT reconciliations, journals, and returns via SARS eFiling.
Prepare and submit PAYE returns via SARS eFiling.
Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset and intangible asset registers, including relevant journals.
Complete and submit STATSSA reports
Assist with insurance renewal submissions.
Review and process supplier reconciliations, cashbook journals, provisions, and revaluation journals.
Review supplier accounts, including debit balances and reconciliations.
Implement and monitor financial controls across all entities.
Review and approve weekly and monthly payment schedules for submission to the CFO.
Authorise and load payments as required.
Review intercompany and related party reconciliations.
Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Reconcile WIP and workshop inventory accounts.
Supervision and performance evaluation of bookkeepers
Perform any other duties as requested by the Group Financial Manager or CFO.
Requirements
BCom Accounting or Finance degree (or equivalent).
3-5 years' relevant financial management or accounting experience.
Sound knowledge of Pastel, Caseware, and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of VAT, PAYE, and general ledger reconciliations.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability.
Ability to manage deadlines and work accurately under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
