Junior Financial Manager

Job purpose

The Junior Financial Manager will play a key role in supporting the financial health of the organization. Working closely with the financial director. This individual will assist in budgeting, financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting. The ideal candidate will be proactive, have strong analytical skills, and have a keen interest in developing their career in financial management.



Key responsibilities:



Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis and identifying key trends.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.

Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making and financial strategies.

Collaborate with financial director on financial planning and strategy.

Maintain and update financial records in the company's accounting software.

Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring required documentation is available and accurate.

Support cash flow management and financial risk assessments.

Help ensure compliance with tax regulations.

Perform other financial analysis and administrative tasks as required.



Qualifications and requirements:



Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (required).

Experience:

0-2 years of relevant finance or accounting experience (internships or part-time roles in finance will be considered).



Technical Skills:



Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).

Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is a plus.

Basic knowledge of financial analysis, accounting principles, and reporting.

Strong analytical skills:

Ability to interpret financial data and generate meaningful insights.

Attention to detail:

Accuracy in financial reporting and documentation.

Communication skills:

Ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively.

Team player:

Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute to team success.

Time management:

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
