About the Role:
The Junior Finance Officer will be based at the Somerset West office and is expected to start as soon as possible. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the growing sustainable agriculture sector by maintaining accurate accounting data and compiling relevant financial reports. The role also provides excellent prospects for growth and career development within a dynamic finance department.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage trade receivables and handle client account enquiries.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Capture and reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Assist with financial reporting and budgeting (including Power BI).
• Verify trade payables and ensure timely processing.
• Provide accurate accounting data to other departments.
• Collaborate with auditors and process expense claims.
• Administer general tasks within the finance department.

Requirements:

• Tertiary degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or a relevant field (bookkeeping experience is advantageous).
• High level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office and accounting software proficiency).
• Excellent English and Afrikaans communication skills (spoken and written).
• Independent, self-motivated, organized, and trustworthy.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Keen interest in sustainability and ethical business practices.
