Accountability:

To support the implementation of the global technology strategy in Glencore copper assets. The role will provide support to the Operational Excellence & Technology business function Principals to help accomplish various project. These activities may range from developing operational models and financial models, to collecting the relevant data to provide insights and identify opportunities within the business.

The Regional OE&T team support the asset teams, and also helps to drive mechanisms of accountability and reporting. The engineer will be critical in creating artifacts and systems to enable these processes, which in turn enable Principals to focus on strategic prospects.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or similar.

Work Experience:

- xe2x89xa55 years experience in a mining/processing/operations/maintenance,

- Experience in finance, opportunity analyses and execution

- Demonstrated experience in operations

- Background or experience in continuous improvement or change programs

- Experience in financial assessment (desirable)

- Knowledge of Power BI and/or Tableau (beneficial)

- Experience in data gathering, cleaning, analysing (SQL, Excel, Power Query) (beneficial)

General Accountability:

- Support the development of the Africa Operational Excellence & Technology initiatives from data collection, execution and monitoring.

- Engagement with site for progression of the Operational Excellence & Technology initiatives

- Analysis of business cases for Operational Excellence & Technology investment

- Engagement of consultants for works initiatives including preparation of scopes, tendering, assessment and award processes.

- Management of consultant activities on a day to day basis

- Coordination with assets and stakeholders on project task delivery

- Preparation of reporting for project activities including schedule and cost tracking
