Job Description
Location: Durban Remuneration: Market related HLR Reference #: HLR7939 Environment: Our client has a need for Junior Embedded System Engineer who will have the opportunity to learn and grow working alongside experienced Engineers Purpose of the role:
- Designing and developing embedded systems for various hardware modules of the devices, ensuring they meet performance and reliability requirements.
- Writing, debugging, and optimizing code for embedded microcontrollers and processors using languages like C and C++.
- Hardware/Software Integration
- Testing and Debugging
- Source Code Version Control

- Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in electronic engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 or more yearsxe2x80x99 experience in the same or similar role.
- Programming skills in C and C++
- Knowledge of microcontrollers, processors, memory technologies, peripheral devices and embedded system architecture
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting hardware schematics and PCB layouts.
- Understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS), Bare-metal development is advantageous.
- Proficiency in debugging tools and techniques, including the use measurement equipment such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, multi-meters etc.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges
