Job Description
A leading organisation in the engineering and manufacturing sector is seeking to appoint a Junior Draughtsman to be based at their office in Cape Town Northern Suburbs.Description of role:
- Work with design engineers on machine and product design / improvements.
- Detailing of engineering parts and assemblies.
- Draughting of new and existing designs.
- Draughting of machine and plant layouts.
- Design and draughting of mechanical routings for machines and plant.
- Design and draughting of general plant equipment.
- Scheduling reviews with design engineers to obtain design and drawing approvals.
- Accurate record keeping, updating, and general control of all drawings.
- Issuing of final (approved) drawings of components, assemblies, and plant layouts for manufacturing / purchasing.
- General tasks as required by your manager.
- Matric / Grade 12.
- National Certificate or Diploma in Draughting or related.
- 2+ years experience in design detailing and draughting.
- Proficiency in CAD.
- Computer literate.
- Experience in machine design.
- Experience in Solid Edge.
- Product data management experience.
