Position Title: Junior Distribution Planner
Reporting To: Control Tower Lead - Operations
Location: Germiston
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in distribution planning, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of logistics, distribution planning, and expediting processes.
- Exposure to data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems and supply chain optimization.
Distribution Planning
- Assist in executing delivery plans and optimizing routes.
- Coordinate inventory, production, warehousing, and transport.
- Fast-track orders to meet urgent needs.
- Resolve delivery issues with suppliers and carriers.
- Provide shipment updates to stakeholders.
- Support handling of delays and disruptions.
- Assist in contingency planning and issue resolution.
- Plan and manage urgent, unplanned deliveries.
- Ensure timely execution and accurate tracking.
- Maintain records of orders, schedules, and inventory.
- Assist with performance reporting and data analysis.
- Align with internal teams and external partners.
- Communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations.
