Junior Data Scientist - Badger Holdings

What You'll Do

You'll work alongside an experienced team, gaining hands-on exposure across the full data science lifecycle:


Prep, clean, and transform datasets for machine learning tasks Explore data to uncover insights that drive smart model design Develop and validate machine learning models Monitor and retrain models to stay ahead of drift Build dashboards & reports to turn insights into decisions Document your processes clearly so the team can build on your work

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Degree / Honours in Data Science Exposure to machine learning algorithms Familiarity with Python or R, and databases like SQL/Snowflake Strong analytical mindset, curiosity, and eagerness to problem-solve Proactive, self-starter who loves diving into data

Preferred (Nice-to-Have):

Experience with machine learning platforms Insurance or financial services knowledge Prior exposure to claims modelling or survival analysis Familiarity with time series forecasting BI tools (Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, etc.)
