Job Summary Introduction Our client, a beverage manufacturer is seeking a Junior Credit Controller to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess a proven track record in Credit Control or a related role, demonstrating a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. Familiarity with accounting software, particularly Syspro/Pastel, is essential. The candidate should exhibit strong communication and negotiation skills, emphasizing attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data. If you are eager to grow in a fast-paced environment, this opportunity is just for you! Duties & Responsibilities Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy in financial records. Contact clients for overdue payments and facilitate debt collection processes. Investigate and resolve claims related to accounts. Process credit notes and maintain accurate journals. Familiarity with Syspro/Pastel Accounting packages is advantageous. Handle the processing of credit applications and the opening of new accounts. Ensure the integrity of current accounts is maintained. Communicate relevant information to representatives regarding accounts. Capture and allocate payments accurately. Reconcile Key Accounts for FMCG clients such as Dischem, PNP, etc. Process rebates, discounts, and advertising-related financial transactions. Send out statements to clients. Desired Experience & Qualification Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Familiarity with accounting software, especially Syspro/Pastel. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
