RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably experienced JUNIOR CONVEYANCING CLERK for a well-established concern, position based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.
REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12.
3 years working experience in conveyancing would be advantageous / paralegal experience would be advantageous OR strong administrative skills with a willingness to learn conveyancing.
Competent computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). MS Word / MS Excel skills must be intermediate,
Working experience Ghost Convey, Windeed, Searchworks, AJS and Lexis Pay an added advantage.
Basic bookkeeping / accounting knowledge.
Knowledge of conveyancing skills is preferable.
Strong administrative skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Opening of files / diarising files.
Dead filing / archiving closed files.
Ensuring that transaction has all necessary requirements for lodgement.
Attending to lodgements at Deeds Registry.
Advising clients and agents of transaction status.
Invoicing fees.
General clerical administration; filing, faxing, photocopying, sending of emails.
Maintenance of records.
Opening files/matters and acknowledging receipt.
Collaborating with other firms linked to the transaction to arrange for lodgement at the Deeds Registry simultaneously.
Ensuring that the transaction has all necessary requirements for lodgement.
Advising and updating the agents/clients of transaction statuses, diarizing files after instruction and invoicing.
Assisting with such functions as may be required by management and as per the needs of the department.
