Junior Buyer - FMCG / Foodservice Distribution
Caterlink, a Cape Town-based foodservice distributor, is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive
Junior Buyer
to join our team. The role involves sourcing products, maintaining supplier relationships, monitoring stock levels, and assisting with price negotiations.Key Responsibilities:
Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. Maintain accurate product and pricing information. Monitor inventory levels and liaise with warehouse and sales teams to ensure stock availability. Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and terms. Identify supply issues and escalate promptly to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
1-2 years' experience in a buying, procurement, or admin role within FMCG, retail, or foodservice. Strong attention to detail with good numerical and analytical skills. Excellent communication and organisational abilities. Proficiency in MS Excel. A proactive, team-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
