The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of bookkeeping principles, strong numerical skills, and a willingness to learn. You will assist with day-to-day financial tasks, including data entry, invoice processing, bank reconciliations, and supporting month-end reporting.
Requirements:
Matric and a Certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping
2 to 3 years' experience in a similar role
Experience in Xero would be preferable
Duties:
Entering daily financial transactions into accounting software
Issuing invoices and processing payments
Payment of suppliers
Balance sheet reconciliations
Credit Card reconciliation with supporting documents
Organising and filing financial documents and receipts
Gathering documentation and assisting in preparing VAT returns and tax submissions
* Liaise with external accountants
