Job Description

Job Summary
Minimum Requirements:

  • LLB degree
  • Admitted, practising attorney with Right of Appearance in the High Court.
  • Minimum 2 years post-article experience in banking litigation.
  • At least 1 year staff management experience.
  • Proficiency in English (additional languages advantageous)
  • Clear criminal and credit record.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or public holidays if required.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Excel, email, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Own transport and valid driver's licence.
  • Professional, presentable, and reliable.
Experience Required:
  • Banking litigation across Magistrates, Regional, and High Court matters (debt recovery including credit cards, loans, vehicle & asset finance, home loans).
  • Vetting of pleadings and notices drafted by candidates and support staff.
  • Drafting, negotiating, and defending legal matters, with the ability to deal with escalated cases and opposing attorneys.
  • Exposure to Excalibur (Version 4) is advantageous.
