Work closely with external counsel as needed. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, especially in Canadian and South African jurisdictions. Contribute to risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate legal risks. Legal Advisory Support: Provide legal support to senior attorneys, assisting with the preparation of legal memoranda, document organization, and advising on debt-related legal matters. International Legal Matters: Assist in managing legal issues related to cross-border debt collection and international compliance, particularly between Canada and South Africa. General Legal Support: Organize and maintain legal files, monitor contract deadlines, and ensure compliance with legal protocols for debt-related matters.
