Job Description

This position is ideal if you have your LLB Degree with admission as an Attorney of the High Court of RSA. Ideal if you have a minimum of 2 years post-admission experience with a focus on Corporate or Commercial matters. This is a Monday to Friday full-me office position, based in Cape Town Centre.
Junior Associate Commercial Department
Key Responsibilities

• Assisting senior attorneys in drafting and reviewing legal documents related to company formation, mergers, acquisitions, and general commercial law matters.
• Conducting legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
• Providing support in due diligence processes for corporate transactions.
• Assisting in preparing and presenting legal opinions and advice to clients.
• Liaising with clients and external parties on legal matters.
• Staying updated with relevant legal developments and regulations.
• Collaborating with team members on various legal projects and initiatives.
• Full-time in-office position.

Minimum Requirements

• LLB degree from a recognised South African university.
• Admission as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• Minimum 2 years post-admission experience with a focus on corporate or commercial matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (proficiency in Afrikaans is an advantage).
• Attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Experience in handling corporate commercial transactions and legal documentation.
• Strong understanding of corporate and commercial law principles.
• Ability to work independently as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.

Salary is market-related and depends on the extent of corporate/commercial experience and whether you are a 1st and 2nd year associate. This is a great firm offering scope and development.
