Full-time | On-site + Remote | Mid-Level (2-5 years experience)
About the Role
CBD Architects is looking for a
Junior Architectural Technologist or Professional Architect
to join our growing team.This role is ideal for someone with strong technical proficiency, design capability, and the ability to manage projects through multiple stages.
You will work in a
hybrid environment
- remote for now, with future in-office collaboration in Somerset West/Stellenbosch and regular site visits.Key Responsibilities
Produce high-quality
Revit models
and detailed technical drawings Prepare and submitmunicipal submission drawings
Assist withdesign development
, technical detailing, and construction documentation Coordinate with consultants and project teams Ensure compliance withSANS
, SACAP requirements, and national building regulations Support the design-to-completion process across multiple project stagesMinimum Requirements
Registered with SACAP
Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit
-- essential (we do not use AutoCAD; full Revit workflow) 2-5 years relevant architectural experience Strong technical documentation skills Experience across concept design, detail design, and construction documentation Excellent communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail Ability to work independently and meet deadlinesPreferred / Advantageous Skills
Rendering experience (D5, Lumion) BIM workflow experience Site experience Understanding of SANS and construction coordination Project management exposure
