About the position Are you a detail-oriented Bookkeeper or Accountant looking for an opportunity in a friendly work environment? We are seeking a skilled financial professional to join an accounting practice in Brooklyn.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing bookkeeping functions, including VAT calculations and submissions.
Processing payroll using Pastel PayrollHandling financial statements and reporting (for Accountant-level candidates).
Working with Sage pastel & Sage one for accounting processes.Assisting with CIPC-related tasks (knowledge of this is strongly recommended).
Requirements:
Strong understanding of bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, and financial statements (Accountant).
Experience using Sage one accounting, Sage pastel and, preferably, Xero.
Payroll experience on Pastel Payroll and/or SimplePay.Familiarity with CIPC procedures is an advantage.
Ability to work independently, as teamwork and ensure accuracy in financial records.Qualifications:
Diploma in Accounting/ Internal Audit or B-Com in Accounting/ Internal Audit or related qualifications
