I am looking for a Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper to be based in our offices in Nelspruit and to handle all accounting functions including:

> Bookkeeping on Pastel/Sage;

> Ensuring that AFS' for our whole group are completed within 3 months of year and sooner if need be;

> Vat returns;

> Payroll compliance;

> Liaise with funders/banks for all accounting and funding related activities;

> Debtors and Creditors' reports;

> Drawing up Cash Budgets and Projections;

> Stock takes;

> Developing ways to manage fixed asset register;

> Giving feedback to team on how to optimise business finance;

> Manage internal billing systems and cash flow cycle, including drawing up supplier payment files;

> Provide Monthly Management Accounts and any reports we need;

> Must work across multiple businesses;

> Assist in drawing up Financial Models and other parts of a Business Plan, Feasibility or Market Study;

> Must have a passport;

> Must have a driver's license;

> Must be easy to work with and work well in teams where you do not control output;

> Must be able to give pertinent, timely and efficiency creating advice to the Management team;

> Must have good people skills;

> Must be willing to travel for multiple days, at least within the SADC;

> Must have a good command of English;

> A good command of Nguni languages would be welcome, but is not a requirement;

> Must be professionally dressed and presenting at all times;

Must be able to handle reporting deadlines and to sort out any issues pursuant to ensuring SARS and other compliance.

Person with articles but not CA qualified preferred.

Must be willing to relocate to Nelspruit

No criminal record

Membership of a relevant accounting authority paramount.

Punctuality and ability to complete tasks with tight deadlines NB.

Will report to Finance Manager: Ntuthuko Zwane.

Last 3 references are mandatory. Rate and hours worked neg.
