Job SummaryJunior Accountant (POS25058)Northcliffe, RandburgR 25 000 to R 30 000 per monthJob Purpose:Accountants perform a variety of duties, including analyzing financial data, preparing financial statements, and creating budgets. They also ensure compliance with legal requirements and accounting standards.Requirements:
- BCom Accounting degree is required.
- Proven experience in assisting with the completion of financial statements.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software Pastel or similar and MS Excel.
- Previous experience in VAT and tax compliance is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Financial reporting: Prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Report on financial performance
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and assess risks
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Taxation: Prepare and file tax returns for a company
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements, Produce and provide statements, accounts, and reports to regulatory bodies, stock exchanges, and other relevant stakeholders
- Auditing
- Financial analysis
