Job Description
My client, a reputable Chartered Accountancy firm committed to delivering high-quality financial and advisory services. They work with a diverse client base, providing innovative and strategic accounting solutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling various accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing expert guidance to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review
financial statements
in accordance with IFRS for SMEs. Performmonthly and annual reconciliations
of financial accounts. HandleVAT, PAYE, and tax returns
submissions and calculations. Assist clients withfinancial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Conductindependent reviews
and compile working papers. Processledger transactions
and ensure accurate financial record-keeping. Ensure compliance withtax and accounting regulations
(SARS, Companies Act, etc.). Communicate effectively with clients, auditors, and regulatory bodies. Assist withmanagement accounts and cash flow reporting.
Supervise and support junior staff where applicable.Requirements:
Completed
SAIPA/SAICA Articles
. Bachelor's Degree inAccounting, Finance, or related field
plus min 2 years previous experience. Eligible to register as aProfessional Accountant (SAIPA)
(preferred). Strong knowledge ofIFRS for SMEs, taxation, and auditing principles
. Experience withaccounting software
(e.g., Pastel, Xero, Sage, CaseWare). Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach.
