Contact person for this position: Amori Prinsloo amori@joblinkplacement.co.za Website: www.joblinkplacement.co.za We are looking for an ambitious Junior Accountant to provide support to the Financial Manager by assisting the Financial Manager with the daily accounting tasks. Please note that this position will also include a lot of administration duties. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition. This way it can make the right decisions and accomplish long term success. Responsibilities

• Administration
• Assisting in posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Updating accounts receivable and issue invoices
• Updating accounts payable and perform reconciliations
• Assisting in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
• Assisting with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
• Updating financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
• Assisting with preparation of weekly/monthly reports
• Assisting Financial Manager in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
• Assisting with other accounting projects

Requirements and skills

• Good organizing abilities
• Good attention to detail
• Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
• Good understanding of accounting and financial principles
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software
• Experience with XERO accounting software will be beneficial
• Qualifications (SAICA articles) will be beneficial
• Bcom or equivalent in accounting, finance or relevant field

Area: Randburg Salary: Market related.
