Job Description

An established Accounting Firm in Cape Town is seeking an Accountant -- either newly qualified

or an experienced/retiring professional

-- with the relevant qualifications to join our team. This is a strictly office-based role, providing the opportunity to work in a stable, supportive environment alongside a dedicated team of professionals.

Requirements:

Accounting degree or equivalent qualification

Xero Adviser Certified

Proficient in

Draftworx, Pastel Accounting, Pastel Payroll, and Accfin

Knowledge and experience with other accounting software packages

Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport

Strong administrative skills

Excellent phone and email etiquette

Exceptional attention to detail

Ability to work under pressure

Skilled at handling multiple tasks, managing deadlines, and prioritising effectively

Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Willingness to follow instructions and take on new challenges

Fluent in English and Afrikaans

Self-starter with a proactive attitude

Some experience with SARS eFiling
