Job Description
Our client, a reputable accounting firm, is looking to appoint a Junior Accountant for a permanent position based on-site in Midrand. The successful candidate will work on a consulting basis at one of their key clients and will be responsible for performing essential accounting functions within the client's finance team.
This is not a remote position, and it offers an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a structured, client-focused environment.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting (e.g. BCom Accounting or similar)
- Previous experience as an accountant or junior accountant
- Reliable transport
- Strong working knowledge of accounting functions
- Proficiency in capturing and reconciling financial data
- Able to work full-time on-site in Midrand
- Availability to start before 27 June 2025
- Perform bank reconciliations, bank imports, and bank allocations
- Process and capture supplier invoices
- Conduct supplier reconciliations
- Reconcile loan accounts
- Assist with general ledger and financial reporting tasks
- Maintain accurate financial records and adhere to deadlines
- Collaborate with the client's internal finance team to ensure smooth operations
