Job Description
Our client, a reputable company in the finance industry, is seeking a dedicated Junior Accountant to join their team. Based in Ballito.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts, including debtors and creditors
- Perform bank reconciliations and oversee payments
- Capture financial data accurately in Pastel and Excel
- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes
- Perform reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information
- Relevant accounting qualification is advantageous
- 1-2 years' experience in a junior accountant role
- Extensive knowledge of:
- Accounts management
- Debtors and creditors
- Excel
- Pastel Accounting
- Reconciliations
- Bank accounts and payments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure
- Self-starter, go-getter attitude, and able to work independently
- Must be willing to undergo criminal and ITC checks
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proactive and able to take initiative
