Job Description
An accounting firm is seeking a Junior Accountant / Junior Bookkeeper for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
- Candidates with qualifications in accounting or finance will only be considered.
- Fast learner that can work independently and has a driven and positive personality
- The prospective candidate NEEDS to be teachable and trainable so that with time, he/she will be able to learn the other programmes used in house
- Pastel and SAGE processing experience, both manual processing and importing
- Comfortable and confident with debtors / creditors, both manual processing and importing
- Comfortable and confident with bank recons and pulling reports, both manual processing and importing
- Efiling knowledge and experience
- Previous accounting firm experience (or experience in financial statement preparation) would be a definite advantage
- Experience in SARS submissions and VAT returns would be an advantage
