Job Title: Junior Accountant
Location: Booysens (Johannesburg South)
About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is perfect for someone who wants to grow their career in accounting while supporting the business with accurate financial processing, reporting, and audit preparation.
Responsibilities:
Process supplier and customer invoices.
Perform bank and petty cash reconciliations.
Assist with account reconciliations and customer statements.
Support VAT, PAYE, and statutory submissions.
Assist with month-end and year-end reporting.
Prepare and organise documentation for audits.
Conduct document analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Maintain accurate financial filing and records.
Skills & Attributes:
Good understanding of accounting principles.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to analyse financial documents effectively.
Strong Excel and computer literacy.
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Professional, confidential, and eager to learn.
Requirements:
1-2 years' experience in an accounting role will be an advantage.
Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Omni, Sage, or similar) beneficial.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to R15000,00 per month
