JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT (Grabouw based - FMCG / Manufacturing)
This role will report directly to the Financial Manager

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

Education:
Bachelor's Degree (Financial Accounting or Related) - preferably with articles and active
professional body membership (SAICA, SAIPA, ACCA)

Experience:
xc2xb1 3 years

Knowledge/Skills:

• Exposure to manufacturing environment is preferred
• Proficient in stock management systems and software would be advantageous
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting processes and GAAP principles.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Strong Excel skills
• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a drive to continuously improve processes.
• High level of confidentiality
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports

• Monitor production costs and work with relevant departments to reduce and control expenses.
• Responsible for processing all daily/ weekly/monthly journals into the relevant account system. These include: Monthly standard journals based on budget / Monthly recurring journals / Ad hoc journals / Reviewing and posting journals on a daily basis
• Perform day end procedures on the financial system, ensure successful end to end process
• Provide guidance and support to staff on correct GL allocation queries
• Open new accounts on financial system
• Attend to and resolve all management account query - ensure successful end to end process
• Perform reconciliations for allocated accounts. Ensure successful end to end process as per specified deadlines.
• Ensuring full compliance with Finance SOP's like Month End Processes, cut off procedures, stock count procedures;
• Perform Stock Production counts (full and cycle counts)
• Daily analysis of Stock Status Reports.
• Stock take follow-up and analysis; and preparation, evaluation and reconciliation of stock takes;
• Raw Material and WIP reporting
• Maintaining and monitoring accurate BOM's
• Inventory control
• The daily maintenance and control of the costing system to ensure proper costing of all products and to ensure accurate valuations and profitability analysis
