Position Summary

The

Junior Accountant

will support the accountant: Reporting in, inter alia, capturing of data, preparing relevant Financial Reports/Schedules, performing comprehensive Inventory and other Reconciliations and conducting Banking tasks (Domestic and Foreign transactions) to deliver on the outputs outlined below:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Capture & reconcile creditors timeously, predominantly pertaining to Inventory. Inventory Reconciliations GIT calculations and Reconciliations Processing Adjusting Journal Entries Capturing and loading of payments, both domestic and foreign, on the Banking platforms, for final release by the Financial Managers. Capture and reconcile credit cards and fleet cards Processing and reconciliation of Bank accounts Processing accruals and provisions Various Month-End financial reporting tasks Assist with the Financial Year-End Statutory Audit Ad hoc Financial tasks and duties as required by Finance Management

Education & Experience Requirements

Essential: Relevant Degree or Diploma in Finance or Commerce Essential: Minimum of 3 years related experience preferably in the wholesale/retail sector. Essential: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and office management software.
