Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to assist our Finance Manager with daily, weekly, and monthly accounting functions. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, eager to learn, and ready to grow into a professional accounting career in a dynamic, fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

Capture and process supplier invoices, credit notes, and purchase orders

Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and creditor accounts

Prepare and process customer invoices and assist with debtor follow-ups

Assist with weekly cash-flow updates

Maintain accurate accounting records and filing systems

Assist with VAT calculations, EMP submissions, and statutory compliance

Support month-end journals, reconciliations, and financial pack preparation

Maintain asset registers and assist with stock/asset verifications

Liaise with internal departments and suppliers on finance-related queries

Provide general administrative and financial support to the Finance Manager

Minimum Requirements

Degree in Accounting / Finance (or currently studying part-time)

3-5 years accounting experience (preferably in a small or medium business)

Experience with accounting software (Sage / Pastel)

Strong Excel skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Pay: R18000,00 - R20000,00 per month
