What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) is highly desirable.
- At least 2 years' relevant experience (candidates with completed articles will receive preference).
- Proven experience in accounting, preferably in the mining or natural resources industry.
- Familiarity with mining-specific accounting practices, such as cost accounting, inventory valuation, and fixed asset management.
- Experience with financial processing, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Knowledge of mining regulations and compliance requirements would be advantageous.
What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for managing and processing financial transactions, analysing financial data, implementing
and monitoring financial controls and providing accurate financial information to support financial reports
and decision-making within the mining / agriculture operations.
- Financial and operational reporting/authorisation.
- Optimisation of systems, processes and procedures.
- Assistance for other Bastion Accountants and Financial Clerks.
