The requirements for this position are:
A suitable professional qualification and appropriate educational experience.
Experience in teaching Afrikaans at a foundation phase level.
Experience in developing learning and teaching material and assessment practices according to IEB requirements would be a distinct advantage.
Excellent all round knowledge of Afrikaans with a passion for the subject.
An unequivocal commitment to working as part of an accomplished team.
Computer literacy and an interest in integrating IT into your teaching and learning.
A fundamentally future-orientated approach to teaching and learning.
A sound and progressive understanding of the South African curriculum and international trends in education.
To facilitate small group activities under the direction of the class teacher
Excellent people and organisational skills
A willingness to work within the values, Methodist Christian ethos and mission of the College as well as participation in the broader life of the school
A sexual offender's clearance certificate
* Proof of registration with SACE supported by a sexual offender's clearance certificate
