Key Responsibilities

Research, track, and analyse trends, policies, and developments within the travel and tourism industry.
Produce accurate, engaging, and insightful news and feature articles for a B2B audience.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with travel professionals, operators, tourism boards, and policymakers.
Conduct interviews and gather first-hand insights from industry leaders and stakeholders.
Interpret market data, reports, and regulatory updates to explain their business implications.
Collaborate with editors and colleagues to uphold editorial standards and tone.
Work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining journalistic integrity and attention to detail.

Requirements

Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity in reporting.
Confident in networking and attending industry events professionally.
Organised, dependable, and able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Self-motivated and resourceful able to identify and develop original stories beyond press releases.

Qualifications and Experience

Relevant degree or diploma in Journalism, English, Communications, Politics, Economics, or related fields (preferred).
Proven journalism or writing experience with a portfolio of published work.
Experience in newsroom, trade, or industry-specific reporting will be an advantage.
A valid drivers licence and own reliable transport (travel required for interviews, events, and press trips).
